Marysville Parks and Recreation is proud to present the 2009 Verizon FiOS Sounds of Summer Concert Series! The series consists of a total of 12 free outdoor concerts - six of which will take place at Jennings Memorial Park on Fridays at 7:00 p.m. and six concerts on Thursdays at noon in Comeford Park.

These crowd-pleasing concerts are a great way to celebrate summer fun while relaxing to the sounds of some of the Pacific Northwest’s most talented artists. The “Marysville Gorge” on Allen Creek in Jennings Park comes alive with summer music July 10 for a six-week series of free Friday night concerts, with outdoor performances starting at 7 p.m. in the Lions Centennial Pavilion, Jennings Memorial Park’s natural amphitheater. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and settle down for a night of music under the stars. Concessions will be available, or pack the cooler and bring your own favorite food and beverages. This exciting series of noon concerts brings the arts to downtown with music to cater to lunchtime crowds. The opening concert on Thursday, July 9 features A Well Known Stranger, followed July 16 featuring Danny Vernon as Elvis.
