Volunteer of the Month
Promoting Community Service
The Mayor’s Volunteer of the Month Award recognizes MarysvilleSave-A-Mutt founders Jennifer Ward and Elizabeth Woche
citizens for their volunteer contributions and commitments to community service. Volunteers from all areas of Marysville are eligible. The voluntary service demonstrated should be unpaid and not an employment responsibility. Volunteer service helps to conserve taxpayer dollars.

Mayor Jon Nehring, who established the recognition program, will honor volunteer award recipients at regular City Council meetings. Pictured at right with the Mayor are August 2014 recipients Elizabeth Woche (left) and Jennifer Ward, founders of nonprofit Save-A-Mutt who are active with their annual Scrub-a-Mutt fundraising dog wash event, and saving dogs in out-of-state, high-kill animal shelters.
