The Marysville Police Department maintains unsolved homicide cases, also known as "cold cases." This site is an attempt to reach out to the members of our community and develop leads and information that will aid in the identification, arrest, and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for these crimes.

The Marysville Police Department is asking for your help in solving the city’s unsolved homicide/missing person(s). The following is a synopsis of cold case homicide/missing person for the City of Marysville. If you have information that would assist us in solving these senseless deaths, please contact the Marysville Police Department using one of these options:

  • Call the Marysville Police Department Investigations Division at (360) 363-8326 and ask to speak to the investigator.
  • Call or report tips to 911.
  • Call Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-8477. You may remain anonymous and possibly receive a cash reward.

Colson, Matthew

Matthew Colson
Case #2019-8900

On February 16th 2019 at about 1940 hours Mr. Colson was crossing 64th St NE when a unidentified vehicle traveling westbound on 64th St NE struck and killed Mr. Colson. The vehicle fled the scene and has yet to identified. The vehicle is described as a dark SUV and was captured on YMCA surveillance video just prior to the crash.
