From traffic signals to wastewater treatment plants, the Public Works Department provides leadership in preparing, building and maintaining the infrastructure that provides for our community's needs today and for the generations of tomorrow.
Regular Operations
Regular operations include:
- Maintaining and constructing sewer, water lines and storm drain systems
- Maintaining water quality
- Managing surface water
- Maintaining the wastewater treatment plant
- Maintaining traffic signals and street signs
- Striping, sweeping and maintaining streets for all weather conditions
- Managing engineering/capital projects
- Maintaining the solid waste, recycling and yard debris program
- Providing mapping services
- Maintaining City vehicles and facilities
- Purchasing and distributing supplies for department operations
- Providing administrative support for the department as well as customer service

After-Hours Utility Emergencies

The after-hours line can be used to report urgent utility needs beyond our Monday-Friday office hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Examples of utility emergencies include reporting discolored water, a water taste or odor complaint, a suspected water break, or requests to turn water on or off.
