The Public Works Solid Waste Division provides garbage pick-up to about 22,500 homes, hauling 2,300 tons of garbage per month, and is the only two city in Snohomish County that provides citizens with service at a rate competitive with regional private solid waste companies.
Garbage is picked up weekly, Monday through Friday. Garbage is collected every official holiday except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. With Christmas & New Year's Day both on Mondays, everyone's garbage, recycling & yard waste will be picked up a day later than usual this week and next. Monday customers will be served on Tuesday, etc., and Friday routes will be picked up on Saturday. Please be sure your bins are out for pickup on your rescheduled day.
Garbage collection during inclement weather?
If snow or other events prevent safe collection of garbage or recycling, the City will collect double on the next collection day or, if circumstances permit, later in the collection week. Please see marysvillewa.gov, social media, or announcements regarding collection. The City will collect when safe to do so, as such, there is no credit given as all materials will be collected.
If you have a question about your collection day or any other issue, please contact the Utility Billing Department at (360) 363-8001.
