The Tulalip Tribes and Washington State Department of Transportation have widened the overpass at 116th St. NE. The next phase of the project is currently under construction to finish new ramps and complete the Single Point Urban Interchange.
This project will convert the Interstate 5 and 88th St. NE Interchange to a full Single Point Urban Interchange. The project is fully funded by the State.
All of State Avenue within the City limits is built out to 5-lanes except the segment between 100th St. NE and 116th St. NE. The City has received State funding to complete this project.
