Marysville reappoints three to Salary Commission

Amanda Garlock, Shelly Ganje and Joel Faber have been reappointed to three-year terms on the Marysville Salary Commission. The reappointments, recommended by Mayor Jon Nehring, were confirmed by the Marysville City Council at its June 11 meeting.

Garlock is the lead imaging technologist for Whidbey Health in Coupeville and the president of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. She earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University.

Ganje retired as a senior manager for the Boeing Company and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia College.

Faber is the recreation superintendent for the City of Lynnwood and has been a longtime youth sports volunteer in Marysville.

All are Marysville residents who were appointed to their first terms in 2015. The Salary Commission reviews the salaries paid to elected officials and determines appropriate increases or decreases in salary. It meets annually as needed. Meetings are open to the public and take place at Marysville City Hall.
