Marysville Police ask that you add a new coat to your shopping list this weekend to help more than 1,000 children in Marysville, Tulalip and Lakewood stay warm this winter. Police will kick off a 'Stuff the Truck' Coat Drive Oct. 26, benefiting the Marysville Community Food Bank's holiday Toy Store.
"It is important for us to help our community in every way that we can, and these coat drives do just that," said School Resource Officer Angie Fawks. "We are happy to have the opportunity to collaborate with our amazing community in order to serve our children!"
In 2018, Marysville Police efforts helped make it possible for every single child signed up for Toy Store services to receive a brand-new coat - for the first time in the Toy Store's 30-year history. Police hope to reach that goal again this year.
Volunteers will be ready to accept your donations of new coats, hats and gloves at the following Marysville locations:
Saturday, Oct. 26 | 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. | Fred Meyer, 9925 State Ave. |
Saturday, Nov. 2 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Walmart, 8713 64th St NE |
Saturday, Nov. 16 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Kohl's & Ross, 3713 116th St. NE |
