Investigation Underway Into Murder of Marysville Man

LYON NICHOLAS “NICK” TORNS, 11/02/84

Marysville—November 8th, 7:00 PM

At just past 3:00 AM this morning, November 8th, Marysville Police responded to a report of gunshots somewhere in the area of the Shell Gas Station at 3506 88th Street NE. Units checked the area but did not locate anyone or hear anything.

Approximately an hour later, officers were dispatched back to the location after a female called reporting that she had found her husband’s vehicle at the location. She saw a male that she knew as “Nick” walk out of the bushes and get into her husband’s vehicle.   She tried to stop the vehicle, but Nick drove away.  Marysville Police responded and discovered a 42-year old Marysville man, laying deceased in the bushes behind the gas station. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

At this time, we are actively seeking Lyon Nicholas “Nick” Torns (pictured), 36 years of age—he is wanted for questioning in this homicide investigation. He stands 6’2” and weighs approximately 270 pounds.

Torns is to be considered armed and dangerous, and may be associated with a black 2020 Nissan Altima, Colorado License Plate: AGXY76. His last known location was the Everett area. If anyone sees either him or the above vehicle, do not approach them. Call 911 immediately and report it to the police.

Our investigation is ongoing.
