Community Center moving in 2022

Ken Baxter Community Center: Thanks for the memories!

As construction progresses on the new Marysville Civic Center, the Ken Baxter Community Center is being prepared for demolition scheduled to begin the week of May 10.

Current classes at the Community Center have been moved to other city locations including the Rotary Ranch and Barn at Jennings Park and the Marysville Opera House. The Community Center will move to the Municipal Court building at 1015 State Ave. after the Civic Center opens in spring 2022.

Removing the Community Center building will make way for an expanded public plaza between Comeford Park and the new Civic Center. The new plaza will include space that can be used for public events such as street fairs, festivals and markets.
