Light up the town with Community Lights contest

2020 Mayors Choice

Clark Griswold or more traditional? When it comes to holiday outdoor lights, what’s your style?

Marysville residents, businesses and organizations are invited to join Merrysville for the Holidays Community Lights. Participants will be included on an online map of lights and compete for prize baskets valued at about $250. It’s free to join! Register by Nov. 30 at https://www.marysvillewa.gov/689/Merrysville-for-the-Holidays.

“We were amazed by how much our community embraced Community Lights last year,” said event manager Andrea Kingsford of Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation. “It’s fun, it’s festive, and we all get to enjoy the beautiful light displays throughout the month of December.”

Participants agree to have their lights displayed from 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4-31. Contest winners will be chosen by popular vote and announced on Dec. 22 in the following categories:

  • Fun Family Favorite
  • Best Use of Lights
  • Griswold Award
  • Most Creative
  • Santa is the Scene
  • Best 12th Man Fan
  • Business with the Most Holiday Spirit

Thank you to prize sponsors Coastal Community Bank, Costa Home Team, E&E Lumber, Marysville Chick-Fil-A, Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce, The Creamery, and Village Concepts Marysville – Grandview Village.
