City announces expanded volunteer opportunities

Are you ready to help your community? Volunteering adds life to your years and years to your life. The City of Marysville is recruiting folks to help with a variety of tasks to improve our city.  Volunteers must be 14 years or older and must be able to pass a background check. Marysville residents have a rich history of pitching in to make things happen.

We have a continual need for special event volunteers, class instructors, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and youth coaches as well as our Marysville Volunteer Program with the Police department. Throughout the year, individual events will be organized such as Litter League trash pick-up events, park clean-up days and graffiti paint outs to keep our city a great place to live, work and play.

The city recently hired Sam Giffin as their first Volunteer and Community Event Coordinator. Sam is here to provide the vital connection between volunteers and tasks that need to be accomplished.

Find volunteer applications at https://bit.ly/MarysvilleVolunteers or contact Sam at sgiffin@marysvillewa.gov or 360-363-8415. For more information, call the Parks, Culture and Recreation Office at 360-363-8400.
