Building a Safer, Stronger, and More Connected Community in 2025
Dear Community,
I am proud to inform you that your police department is now recognized as an accredited law enforcement agency by the Washington Association of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs (WASPC). Accreditation was a long-standing priority for your city leadership. Over the past four years, your police leadership team has made this vision a reality.
As we enter 2025, the Marysville Police Department is committed to continuing to foster a safer, more resilient community through innovation, collaboration, and proactive policing. Our vision for this year is guided by five key priorities: enhancing community engagement, improving staff safety and wellness, fostering leadership, maintaining accreditation, and advancing recruitment, retention, and technology.
Community Engagement, Crime Prevention, and Program Expansion
We believe that strong relationships with the community are essential for effective policing.
Expanding and Improving Staff Safety, Wellness, and Training
Our officers and staff are the backbone of our mission. Their safety, wellness, and training remain a top priority.
Leadership Development
Leadership is key to our success. Continuing learning and improvement will be key to our success as our workforce continues to renew and grow.
State Accreditation and Best Practices
We will continue to maintain high standards to ensure accountability and excellence.
Recruitment, Retention, and Workforce Development
Building a strong and dedicated team is crucial to meet the public safety needs of our city.
Technology Advancement
Modern tools enable better service and efficiency. We will continue to seek technological advances that support good workforce management and benefit public safety.
Our vision for 2025 reflects our unwavering commitment to serving and protecting Marysville. By working together, we can create a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected.
