The shelves at the Marysville Community Food Bank are barer than usual, but the demand for food bank resources is greater than ever. You can help by dropping off donations through May 14 in red barrels at the Marysville Civic Center (City Hall), 501 Delta Ave., and Marysville Community Center, 1015 State Ave.
“Our food supplies are depleted. We urgently need help to continue feeding families in our community,” said Amy Howell, food bank director. “Please support us in this vital effort.”
Most-needed food items include:
- Sides (boxed or pouched rice)
- Cereal
- Peanut butter
- Chili or stew with meat
- Canned soup
- Canned fruit
- Canned protein (tuna, chicken, salmon, beans, etc.)
- Canned tomato products
Non-food items needed:
- Diapers (sizes 5 & 6)
- Baby wipes
- Baby food & formula
- Laundry or dish detergent
- Feminine hygiene products
- Adult briefs (Medium-Large, men's)
- Toilet paper
