[ARCHIVED] New member sought to fill Marysville Civil Service Commission vacancy

The City of Marysville is looking for a new member to serve on the city’s Police Civil Service Commission. Members are appointed by the Mayor and serve as unpaid volunteers for a term of six years.

Police Civil Service Commission members must be citizens of Marysville for the three years immediately preceding the appointment and must be registered voters of Snohomish County.

The three-member commission meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at Marysville City Hall. The Commission focuses primarily on the selection, appointment, promotion and employment of police officers within the Marysville Police Department.

To apply for the commission, please submit a letter of interest or resume (or both), to Deputy City Clerk April O’Brien at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave., Marysville WA 98270, or by email to aobrien@marysvillewa.gov. For more information, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 360-363-8077.
