Lake health and additional resources

Toxic algae

Several lakes in Snohomish County have experienced blooms of potentially toxic blue-green algae. City of Marysville staff regularly perform visual inspections to monitor lake health. Snohomish County Surface Water Management coordinates testing of blooms. When high levels of toxins are identified by the Snohomish County Health Department, alert signs will be prominently posted at lake public access sites.
