Is 911 for emergencies only?: NO. 911 is for emergency and non-emergency calls. When you call 911, your call is assigned a unique number that can be used to record and track a specific event. You should call 911 when you have an emergency, when you need to report a crime, when you would like to talk with a police officer OR when you need a police officer to respond to a specific location.

2. How do I get a copy of a police report?

You must submit a Police Department Public Disclosure Request.

4. How do I recover my property if it's being held by Marysville Police?: Found property turned in to Marysville Police can be claimed by the property owner by coming to the department - 1635 Grove St. The Marysville Police property custodian is available Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Proof of ownership is required before you can leave with your items. For questions, call 360-363-8300.

5. Are fireworks illegal in Marysville?: Yes, fireworks have been illegal in Marysville since January 2017. If you have, use, sell, trade or discharge fireworks within Marysville city limits, you are breaking the law. People who violate the law are subject to a fine and possible jail time, depending on the violation. An exception to this law may be made for authorized public displays or as permitted by the Marysville Fire Marshal.

6. How do I report found property?: Report found property to 911. Marysville Police or the Community Service Officer will respond, evaluate the property and take it for safekeeping if it meets minimum requirements.

7. Do you have a SWAT team?: Yes. The Marysville Police Department maintains a Tactical Response Team (TRT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT). These teams are made up of highly trained Marysville police officers who apply for these assignments as an additional duty to their primary assignment.

8. How many calls does the SWAT team get each year?: As a full team, SWAT deploys about six to eight times per year. Some of those are pre-planned, high-risk search warrants, while others are critical incident callouts to assist patrol officers.
