Apply for Animal Licenses

The City of Marysville offers FREE lifetime pet licenses for all spayed and neutered dogs or cats. Owners of intact animals are not eligible for a lifetime license; they must pay a fee and renew their pet's license each year. Please see our fee schedule below for more information

Your application must include your address and contact phone number(s), along with the dog or cat’s name, color, breed and whether your pet has been neutered or spayed. To qualify for a free lifetime license, you must provide a veterinarian’s statement or other written proof showing that your pet has been neutered or spayed.

To obtain an annual license for an unaltered pet, you may pay over the phone using a debit or credit card by calling (360) 363-8202 or (360) 363-8000, or you may visit the Marysville Civic Center to pay in person. 

Fee Schedule for Intact Animals

  • Intact animals - $25 per year. If your pet has not been spayed or neutered, you must purchase a license for $25 each year. The license expires Dec. 31 and must be renewed by Feb. 14 to avoid an extra $5 charge.
  • Intact animal with a microchip - $10 per year. If your pet has not been spayed or neutered, you must purchase a license for $10 each year. The license expires Dec. 31 and must be renewed by Feb. 14 to avoid an extra $5 charge.
  • Senior discount - $15 per year. Residents age 60 and older who own intact animals may purchase a discounted license for $15 each year. The license expires Dec. 31 and must be renewed by Feb. 14 to avoid an extra $5 charge.
  • Replacement tags - $5. If your pet loses his or her tag, you can purchase a replacement.
