Water quality in the Quilceda/Allen Watershed

Water Quality Monitoring Program

The City of Marysville has been collecting ambient water quality monitoring data since around the year 2000. Snohomish County Surface Water Management had previously been collecting water quality data in this watershed since about 1992. Historical data from Snohomish County can be accessed via their Surface Water Online Data webpage. More recent water quality data collected by the City of Marysville is in response to the TMDL Requirements in the NPDES Phase II Permit. Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Requirements

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Permitwas first issued in 2007. The currect permit term is August 1, 2013 to July 31, 2018and identifies the Snohomish River Tributaries (including Allen and Quilceda Creeks) TMDL (total maximum daily load) for fecal coliform.
