The North County Copsicles are preparing for their annual dip into chilly waters at North Cove Park. Chief Erik Scairpon has pledged to take his own polar plunge if donations reach the $5,000 fundraising goal. The North County Polar Plunge event kicks off at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, in North Cove Park, Lake Stevens. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. This event raises funds for year-round sports training and athletic competition programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
