Water rates
The City of Marysville supplies more than 6 million gallons of quality drinking water per day to more than 24,000 connections at rates that are competitive in the Puget Sound region. Our Water Quality Division samples and tests water quality in accordance with state Department of Health requirements.
The City uses American Water Works Association (AWWA) meter factors to determine monthly meter rates for meters larger than 5/8-inch. The flat meter fee is established by AWWA (nationally-recognized standard) and helps equitably distribute service costs that are not related to volume of water used, such as bill production, customer service, water service inspections and meter reading, maintenance and replacement.
Your water bill equals a base rate for your meter size plus the amount of water you use. Customers are billed bi-monthly.

Residential, Multi-family & Commercial (per unit) Volume Tiers & Water Rates
| Volume Tiers | 2-month usage (in gallons) | Within city limits (per 1,000 gallons) | Outside city limits (per 1,000 gallons) |
|---|---|---|---|
1st Tier | 0 to 6,999 | $1.54 | $2.32 |
