Consistent with the principles of open justice as provided in the Washington State Constitution, it is the policy of the judiciary to facilitate access to records held by the court. Court records are not subject to the Washington State Public Records Act. Court records are governed by Washington State Court Rules, General Rule 31 (court records) and General Rule 31.1 (administrative records).
Court Records
Court records or case records are records of in-court proceedings including but not limited to case files, dockets, and calendars. To make a request for court records you can download the form and either mail it to the court at 501 Delta Ave, Marysville, WA 98270 or submit a request online.
Administrative Records
Administrative records are records relating to the management, supervision or administration of a court. Access to administrative records is not absolute and shall be consistent with exemptions for personal privacy, restrictions in statutes and as required for the integrity of judicial decision making. Access shall not unduly burden the business of the judiciary.
