Garbage Information

** Need a different size garbage cart?  Click here to submit your request. **

Please place your bins at the curb by 6am on the day of collection.  Bins should be in an accessible place abutting the street or alley that is used by the city garbage trucks to service your property.  Please place all bins with lids opening toward roadway and maintain at least two feet of clearance between each bin.  On the day of collection, after the garbage is collected, please remove the bin from the curb.

Garbage collection during inclement weather

With the winter season comes the possibility of snow and ice on the roadways. Our sanitation department works hard in all types of weather to ensure that you get the best service possible. The one thing we prioritize even more highly than providing this service is keeping the community safe. There are times when it just isn’t prudent to be out in the snow with a large, heavy truck.

If snow or other events prevent safe collection of garbage or recycling, the City will collect double on the next collection day or, if circumstances permit, later in the collection week. If your garbage is not picked up on its regular day, please leave it out at the curb.  The City will collect when safe to do so, as such, there is no credit given as all materials will be collected  Thank you for your understanding. Please check back here or on social media for specific service updates.
